The great thing with live recording is you can capture a real energy in the performance which you can never recreate when multi-tracking. With the 40 track mixing desk we can record a variety of material in a live situation, mic'ing each individual instrument to achieve great clarity. Vocals are always tracked afterwards due to spill. Choosing the live option can be an advantage in many ways, especially dynamically along with the overall feel of the track. It's also perfect for a band/artist that are on a budget.
